yeah, I’m actively avoiding products that tout AI. It’s a worse experience and my data gets used to train some model for some company’s enrichment.

The thing is, it doesn’t use that much electricity for queries compared to training. So as always, this is squarely on the company, not users. By the way, we are wasting half of all energy going into running the internet on ads.

OMG yesss, it started around 2 years ago when image results on google became more and more filled with generic AI images. I hated it so much. I switched to pages like deviantart, but even they include AI images now :(

For the last few years, every time I’ve looked at the DeviantArt homepage, it’s run rampant with inflation porn. Every goddamn time. I’ve tried hiding a few dozen of them, but there’s either no personalized algorithm, or it absolutely sucks. I’ve now basically written the site off as an inflation fetish site.

On gelbooru and the like you can exclude tags with a minus, so -ai_generated to get rid of it

“The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy. “

You weren’t expecting any time to do actual work do you? I once worked with a guy who was in so many teams simultaneously that he spent more then half his day in stand ups.

Why do you have a Sprint planning of a day. Either you have too long sprints, a terrible Po, no refinements or just a short work day

Reminds me of Microsoft Office changing things over the years for accessibility purposes, but just making it harder for me to use.

My team does design reviews and the sudden deluge of AI projects is drowning us with stuff that needs to be done yesterday because it needs to be available in the next release.

I’m begining to see the use of ai similarly to my alcohol problems. It’s way too easy to rely on it too much. I never was a good author, but I can tell that the quality of what I can write on my own has degraded since I started using ai.
