Speedrunning a permaban on my 15 year old account. How many days do you think it will take?
Man isn’t even convicted yet and his name is taboo.
The rich are scared. Good. They should be.
That’s exactly what we need to take from this. Not that money is in control and that’s why they’re cracking down, but that they’re cracking down because they’re scared.
Reddit is more okay with people where we have indisputable video of them killing someone else in cold blood than someone who police just say trust us bro he did it.
Amazing how the admins react to things
alot of the videos subs, like publicfreakout according to some people on the same site said they are mostly FORMER leo, or leo mods. and i had several comment removals, report abuse removals, etc.
They can be scared, but unless ten, fifty, or one hundred green Mario brothers appear nothing will change.
His name isn’t taboo, it’s just the asslicker self-chosen slaves of the rich that want to silence it.
“While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, reading content that breaks the rules is also considered a violation.”
“While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, thinking about breaking the law is also considered a violation.”
“While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, protesting human rights violations is also considered a violation.”
“While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, being an unapproved minority is also considered a violation.”
“While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, not drinking enough verification cans is also considered a violation.”
They’re scared. Spez knows his neck is on the line in a more literal fashion than ever.
While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, not buying a Tesla is also considered a violation.
Ahhhhhhhhh now I see what the enforcement angle is on orangeboi declaring that an “illegal boycott” (a term that makes roughly as much sense as “aerodynamic bedsheet”)
(a term that makes roughly as much sense as “aerodynamic bedsheet”)
What other kind of sheets would you get for a racecar bed?
You know, I hadn’t thought of that but it’s a good point.
They’re scared. Spez knows his neck is on the line in a more literal fashion than ever.
me being banned from r/freeluigi twice for innocuous comments
Just like lemmy
When money is speech, speech is not free.
Damn, that’s good. Someone tell congress.
Congress is aware. That’s why they passed Citizens United.
Edit: wait that was a Supreme Court decision but my point remains the same
Congress is aware. That’s why they abdicated their responsibility to the Supreme Court.
You’re still functionally correct.
Nobody here can afford to speak to Congress
And yet it is surprisingly cheap to buy a politician.
No it’s ok they need nappies because they’re tired from doing nothing
So they are dictating the things we can like now? Lol what a shit site that has become. Such a shame. I love it here though so I guess it all worked out
Regime front online doing regime whoring…
That’s how and why I joined over here. They implemented the upvote = ban policy. I got a warning. I have no idea what for because I pretty much upvote everything I read. I am pretty loose and will even upvote entire argument threads if I think the argument is worthwhile to read.
As soon as I was warned for upvoting the wrong thing, but not told which of my thousands of upvotes were wrong, I deleted Reddit.
Anyway, it’s nice here on Lemmy.
They couldn’t make everyone hate him, so now they’re trying to make everyone forget about him.
Nobody is forgetting an American hero!

How could people forget the first American hero in a long time?
We need more of him, if any.
They ban u for upvoting? Not even commenting, but literally just upvoting?
That’s why I finally pulled the plug on my 14 year old account. That Orwellian bullshit is a deal breaker.
My 12 year old account got permanently suspended after an alt got a ban from r/entertainment for disagreeing with someone. Neither of us warranted a ban. Since I couldn’t block the sub from the news feed I accidentally commented again in the sub with my banned account not realizing the sub I was in. Then I commented with my main and got permanently banned. I appealed but didn’t get a response. This all happened over the course of a month or so and left an awful taste in my mouth.
Same here, my 3 year old account got permabanned since my new alt got banned from r/shitpost and I couldn’t filter it out so I accidentally commented on my main and, well here I am…
Haha samesies with my 12 year old account. I kept an alt for like 3 months before reddit just randomly banned it. Tried to create one more account and it got banned that day. Looked up Reddit alternatives and found this place :)
I don’t know if you saw this article, but it’s a fascinating and infuriating read, it’s about all of the Luigi censorship and the upvote policing. It’s scary as hell. Check it out
It talks about terrorist propaganda. I know a little bit about extremist groups use of social media… the tldr is social media is riddled with it. If they’re saying that’s the motivation then they are using that as an excuse. It’s ALWAYS been on reddit p, it’s nothing but a cover story.
That’s what they said!
Please let them implode.
I want Lemmy to have niche content. I’m tired of being a bitter asshole about politics and news on here. I want to gleefully distract myself while my country burns, not be ultra depressed about it because its constantly in my face.
yeah i always like the beginning of a new platform in the first few years where everyone is just having fun before the hoards come and commercialization happens.
deleted by creator
You can get that in a sub-community.
I don’t know how likely commercialization is on a platform developed by communists. Seems kind of unlikely.
i wasn’t specifically talking about lemmy when i said the commercialization part.
ATTENTION CITIZEN:
YOU ARE IN VIOLATION OF THE LAW.
OFFENSE: Inciting subversion of state power
PRESENT YOURSELF TO YOUR NEAREST FBI OFFICE IMMEDIATELY.
where on reddit can I find lots of Luigi content? I’m interested in having my 7yr old account banned
Before getting banned it’s probably a good idea to remove or replace all of your posts and comments with something like https://redact.dev/services/reddit
Reddit monetizes the content that users create so remove that content. The admins probably have tools to restore deleted comments and posts but that takes effort and time and if enough time goes by data and backups get lost.
do you know how to download all of my reddit history for personal use? redacting is a good idea, but I want to keep it available to myself in case I need to look up something in there

thanks, that’s what I needed!
here’s a direct link for the lazy: https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite/
Tbh I really do think the ship has sailed on that. They’re 100% archiving and off lining (and probably violating the shit out of GDPR) stuff to sell to LLM companies. Not to mention, that data’s already been tokenized and ingested into the systems, and from a computational and logical standpoint, it’s actually a pretty fucking hard problem that people are still trying to figure out how to dis/prove, let alone do reliably and effectively.
Your shit’s been snarfed. So has mine. I don’t mean to be a dick, but we will need to get over it, because there’s no recourse here. Don’t forget, but just account for it and don’t get too bent out of shape over it.
Damn, that comment was a gut punch. Thanks for the wake up call
Hey, I don’t like it either, but that is, unfortunately, the way it be.
Cheers, friend. Find something that makes you happy today. <3
Aw bummer I deleted my account before seeing this :\
i just ended up deleting like 2 accounts worth of posts, might as well not let them get any data to mine.
It’s time consuming but just checkout popular and keep scrolling/refreshing for an hour, you’ll find it but they’ll all be removed within days.
Don’t do it. Sell it to spammers so you get some money and Reddit gets some spam!
all violence is encouraged except violence against the overlords
Violence against their preferred overlords
Whatever their goal is, one result is apparent: less voicing of opposite views to the status quo on their website.
You will lick boot and you will like it!
only in the bedroom
It’s literally Orwell’s “wrongthink” - which is a thoughtcrime on Reddit.
Less voicing of views, period. Reddit doesn’t want user interaction. Only views. The bots generate the content while the users are there to generate ad revenue.
Hahahahahahahhahahaha this is wild. It’s so blatant. It’s just so unrepentantly, obviously, nakedly blatant. Jesus fuck.
Like im glad you guys are all getting out and finding us and other similar communities, but like… the societal and systemic implications of them going so hard on this on reddit makes me shudder to consider how insane moderation must be getting on normie social networks, which have been traditionally WILDLY awful on that point even before we decided to break fascist. This is them actively and aggressively suppressing free speech. Mahmoud Khalil was/is another instance of that. This is us not keeping the republic.
don’t forget tiktok. they went down the shitter too. i only still use it because it has better editing on it than rednote… Then I go and post my video edited on tiktok to rednote.
From what I’ve heard from relatives on Meta-owned social networks, it’s pretty bad
Talk about the thought police! I saw it coming for awhile, but past me from a decade ago is shocked that Reddit has come to this.
Don’t get permabanned! Sell your precious account first ;) it will be used to spam on Reddit and you’ll get some money, it’s a win-win situation!
How much are they worth?
The real questions here!
Who that fuck buys reddit accounts? And where to sell them? ( I certainly would not do that …)
I certainly would not do that either…
i know a forum that would, usually people who got banned from reddit, they would use that to promote thier links/advertisement to earn money.
Yes, please tell us where we need to not go to avoid accidentally selling our reddit accounts
theres a forum where people will buy accts, but they wont buy one that is tainted or flagged though, they prefer new accts, or old accts with good standing. reddit will still catch them eventually though.
