Just Cause series is great for that, JC3 being an absolute joy of free movement. I used to spend hours just gliding with grappling hook and fly suit.

Loved Steep and have tons of hours on it. However, my issue with it is that it is a purchase for a single playthrough: there’s no way to start over. I didn’t play in years, mostly forgot how to play and would like to have a few tutorials, rediscover the open world again, etc.
Well, I will just stick to PC and Steam Deck even if I consider price/hour money.
Wow, that seems to be a great supplement! I might look into buying a pdf only somewhere (I already have lots of maps and minis) but if I cannot find one… Well, there’s never too many maps and minis, right?.. Right?
Well, it wasn’t all in the same session but 3-4 sessions total. Before the last combat I understood that they were never going to reach to the dragon and designed the combat differently.
There’s a talking dragon waiting to share their wisdom and power with the party. He is, like, a couple hours away from the city everyone spends like a few sessions in, preparing to be sieged. NPCs are all talking about how great were the legendary times when dragons were helping dwarves with defending the city. There are dragon claw marks on the city walls. A geographer sponsored by one of my party members tells stories like:
“There was once a cavern just here, near the city, where lived an ancient dragon. And you know what? People don’t talk about this place anymore, it isn’t on any recent map and nobody goes here. Ever. What could be hidden there? Who knows? If only someone could, like, walk in here and take a look”.
Nope, never happened. My party destroyed the whole damn dark forces army all by themselves and left the city. They are now heading to the cooking contest organised by a pixies queen.
That’s hilarious! Honestly, that’s probably how a real bunch of murderers adventurers would react.
Yup, Last Samourai is 22 years old. Back then a lot of social issues have not been widely discussed.
Yeah, you unlocked many memories of mine. I played CS back in 90s, train with bots and learn map layouts at home, then play team vs team in a club. A bit later with ADSL started to play online and it was still kinda cool. When life fast forwarded me to Quake Arena and R6S it was very fun but I never ever made any online friend. Maybe a couple of people in R6 with whom I played a few times but even then the toxicity outweighed the team play fun.
Yup, either this or the matchmaking is in find-the-most-toxic-people-available mode. I almost stopped playing online to be honest, I’d rather play couch co-op or even a good solo game.
Absolutely! CP:R ihas always been a huge interest of mine, I also have 2020 and many supplements but never had a chance to dive in.
Wow, the whole room becomes brighter with HDR off /s
It was my thought as well. IIUC the game engine, Anvil Next, is the same that has been used since Valhalla so it shouldn’t be the engine issue.
(Didn’t play it yet and probably wouldn’t before big patches after a year or so, take me with a pinch of salt)
I cannot understand how is this game rated Steam Deck compatible if it is badly optimized? Valhalla was fine on SD but it never had perf issues that bad on current/next-gen. Anyone tried it out on SD (or maybe another handheld)?
Very natural look, to be honest I am quite impressed that it isn’t a industry standard right now and also that I have never thought that it was missing in games. I’d only tweak one thing: for a most natural look all surfaces shouldn’t be “touchable” at all times. We usually touch barriers (such as at 0:25), wall corners around which we walk, some vertical bars, moving objects (doors, office chairs), etc. With these restrictions it would look absolutely stunning in a video game. Remove this restriction with some conditions (character is drunk, walking at height, instable for some reason, etc.) and it would really be a piece of animation I would like to be modded into every single game I own.
I am still a Lemmy noob and didn’t grasp all the instance/community points yet. This community is kinda about physical games as well so I gave it a shot. But thanks for pointing out that instance, seems to be a lot of related stuff and would be more appropriate for sure!
I’d might accept to send my ID with my photo, first and last name (data which they already have and might use to verify my identity) but with all the remaining info being anonymized / blurred. But I believe that Persona filter out blurred out images. And I have to admit, I am kinda afraid to send fake data. Sure, Persona is not a legal representative but a third party, sending them a fake ID isn’t any different to send a fake ID to a buddy but still.
Thanks for your reply, there are many ideas that help me to think it through!
First of all: no, I agree that non-verified person should not be able to request an account deletion. However, I am in full possession of my id, password, 2FA, full access to both old and new e-mail boxes as well as to all devices that have ever been used to log into this account. I believe that this is enough to prove that I am the one holding the account.
I believe that I never used LI from any new VPN (I use either professional VPN or no VPN).
As per your last paragraph, I totally agree that it might “reveal” my sensitive data. My idea was the following: if I show myself ready enough and kinda literate about privacy (nothing fancy, just some well-known rights and regulations) I might get them to accept a video call or something similar to confirm my identity. If this case were to be brought to court after all, I believe that my ID data might remain within the jurisdiction of my country instead of be sent to a third party (Persona).
Good to know, thanks! I might try to log in every now and then. And indeed, no way I keep my account after that.
Honestly, there’s nothing you can really miss IMO, the game presents everyone and everything in a nice and smooth way and you won’t ever be lost.
