minus-square@white_nrdy@programming.devlinkfedilinkEnglish2•17 days agoWhy would it make sense? Currently on Android, RCS isn’t a system level thing like SMS is. So Signal won’t easily be able to pull it in. Unless they implement their own implementation of RCS and the Universal Profile.

Why would it make sense? Currently on Android, RCS isn’t a system level thing like SMS is. So Signal won’t easily be able to pull it in. Unless they implement their own implementation of RCS and the Universal Profile.
