They only make money off memberships, so they take it very seriously.
They only make money off of memberships? What an incredibly silly thing to say. This feels like a fact that has gone through the telephone game and become a myth. I wouldn’t be surprised if they made the majority from memberships, but to say they only make money from them is just ridiculous.
Well, it’s well known that memberships is their business model.
True on the margins they make some small profit from the Tire Centers and leases for the Optometrists and Pharmacists, but it’s a well known fact that their business model is primarily centered around memberships. And just so you don’t think I’m blowing smoke up your ass for internet clout, I worked there as a sample guy for a few years during college and learned this from the managers and employees id befriended. It may not be completely true these days, but from what I can see that’s still largely the case.
