Recently my company was going to buy some very important welded structures, and instead of working with the American company that we promised the business to, one executive went over everyone’s heads to buy these from the offshore team, despite protests from literally everyone.
They came in today each one is $100k worth of scrap metal. Absolutely unsalvageable pieces of shit. Truly a colossal level of fuckup.

Guys, I know we all mean well, but no amount of activism and voting is going to make a difference anymore. They will suspend the Constitution and ensure we never have elections again. The Democratic experiment is over and we can’t keep thinking that we’ll be able to vote it out.
If you want to help, try and do it tangibly. Organize underground support networks for your queer and minority friends, seek or create covert resistance orgs, and have a realistic plan for pogroms.
Maybe after 9 trillion fucking dollars they’ll realize that it’s a scam and you can’t achieve AGI let alone super intelligence by throwing infinite data at an LLM.
Late to the party but I used to work in the Auto industry.
The brands I trust in order: Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, Mazda, Subaru.
That’s the whole list. Brands outside this list tend to produce dogshit cars, IMHO.
Brands on the list are known for being fairly reliable and easy to maintain. Buy the lowest trim options for the least amount of tech if that’s your prerogative.
I went to a Hotel Furniture liquidator for some new furniture. Saw a good looking office chair and they only wanted $20 for it.
Brought that bad boy home and only then did I find out that they had sold me a new Herman Miller Aeron for only $20. Completely insane.
