I have a LCD and Oled Steam deck, love them and use them often. I’m not a fan of Nintendo, or other non open systems, being a linux-pc guy, so don’t own nor have any interest in acquiring them. I hope Valve can improve on their market-share, and more open linux friendly devices find their niche in the market-place.
I deleted my account a couple years ago, don’t miss Reddit at all.

Open office isn’t getting much in the way of updates these days and is considered dormant and maintained by the Apache foundation. Libre-office is the office suite maintained by the document foundation and is where the bulk of developers moved over to.

Canada should issue a travel advisory for Canadians as well, considering what happened to Jasmine Mooney, a Canadian actress detained by I.C.E… Doesn’t matter who or how successful you are, they will come after Canadians. The president of the US has a hate on for Canadians, and his sycophants are looking to gain his favour, so if we must travel to the US, make sure you have all your paperwork correct before attempting crossing the border. Even then, i think Canadians in the US should be very cautious.

I’ve a pair of Rokid’s and think the technology isn’t there yet. It’s fuzzy around the edges, making reading difficult and a pain. You want to turn your head to get a better look in order to read, but of course it is stuck in place in front of your face so impossible. It is also uncomfortable to wear longer than ten minutes as it causes impressions on your nose bridge. Not worth the price or pain. Maybe in another ten years i’d look into it again.

It does what i need it to do, make/receive calls, surf the web and play videos when i’m out and about. For gaming i prefer Steam deck or PC. Other than that i’m not a lover of smart phones, in general i think they suck. If i could make/receive calls from a steam deck, i would trash my phone in a second.

Unfortunately the competition isn’t as forward thinking as Valve. They are too busy trying to corner their little markets to build a larger more robust one with room for everyone. Petty, greedy, and low-brow.
