I mean, by my count, <17% of the seats are outside England, so it’s not surprising people just focus on the main parties in England.

There is nothing wrong with using FOSS without contributing. You can’t have any expectations if you don’t contribute, but it’s not mooching, it’s a fundamental component of Open Source licensing.
With that said, the government of the Netherlands is already doing a decent job of supporting FOSS.
Your response says, “not epaper” which is categorically wrong. I assume you meant to say “eink”
Yes! The best thing about Pebbles (IMHO) is how they handle notifications. In the specs, they list Nordic nRF52840 BLE chip (BLE stands for Bluetooth Low Energy)
And with hardware supported by XP.
Nothing in this article is talking about cold storage. And if we are talking about cold storage, as others gave pointed out, HHDs are also not a great solution. LTO (magnetic tape) is the industry standard for a good reason!
Anyone who has said that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. Magnetic tape is unparalleled for long-term/archival storage.
This is completely different. For active storage, solid-state has been much better than spinning rust for a long time, it’s just been drastically more expensive. What’s being argued here is that it’s not performant and while it might be more expensive initially, it’s less expensive to run and maintain.
I grew up watching it. In the era of linear TV, even with cable we had maaaybe 2 or 3 other legitimate options for family TV time on that night, at that time. It was non-offensive (funny saying that about Trump now), family friendly, reality TV. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it was well produced, and mindlessly entertaining.
Now, at the same time, while I understand for many people, “the apprentice convinced them he’s a business genius,” that’s SOOO frustrating. I completely agree with you about “his fucking stupidity.” I think the first few seasons, they cut it well to make him appear intelligent. However, as the show went on, I suspect he wanted more and more screen time, and that distracted from the actual show and that’s when we started to notice “his fucking stupidity” showing.
Wasn’t uefi a must already for windows 10 computers?
Nope, I’ve been running Win10 on multiple computers with a BIOS.
Atleast for win 11 it is.
AFAIK, UEFI isn’t technically a requirement. However, TPM 2.0 is, and that requires UEFI.
The effect to my life will be as miniscule as squishing an ant.
Assuming you’re an American, the effects will be HUGE. Our economies are sooo interdependent.
And how could this war have been avoided?
The comment I responded to brought up the First Amendment, so I think it’s relevant to correct them.
I’m not defending corporate censorship, I’m just saying it’s not a First Amendment violation.
The First Amendment means the government can’t restrict Free Speech. The Super Bowl is a private event held on private property.
Same in Canada.
As someone who uses YouTube Premium, this title piqued my interest. While lifetime would be nice, I figured it would be at least 1-2 years, which could make this phone pretty good value for me. At 3 months, I agree, I’m not sure if it’s even work activating.
I think you’re on to something.
I also think there’s a difference in where the network effect kicks in for different types of social media. IMHO, Lemmy has just enough activity to not feel empty, and even then I wish there was more comments to interact with and more niche communities. With Pixelfed, I feel like as long as there’s enough interesting posts it makes sense for people to visit regularly.
As much as I’d like to be able to swap batteries, that’s irrelevant to this issue. Even when the battery is replaced the issue persists because it’s a software issue.
TBH, that sounds even worse, and I am saying this as a fan of big government.
All of those companies have plants both in the US & Canada (and I’m sure Mexico too, I’m just less familiar). As someone who lives in Southwestern Ontario, we have a lot of car brands, both foreign and domestic, plus the supply chains for the parts that go into those cars.
Saying the big 3 are “primarily in Canada and Mexico” is just untrue, especially comparing it to Japanese brands. They’re all heavily relying on CUSMA.
