        Don’t quote me, as I’m not a sexologist, but I think it works along the same lines as the hair of the dog.

            I lost a friend to the hair of the dog - turned out he wasn’t just hungover but had a dangerous (but treatable) lung infection.

            Good luck with the drinking - I’ve not touched a drop in 20 years now, but it was a tough road getting there.
