No, I’m in love with having my property rights respected instead of letting corporations sabotage my computer against me.

The real question is, why do non-Linux-users all insist on being simps and cucks and then have the gall to act like I’m the weird one?

It‘s basically the proverbial frog in the pot. Emphasis on the proverbial because frogs jump actually do leave the pot when it‘s too hot.

Hear hear! It’s wild to see what Mac and Windows users put up with. The Linux experience may sometimes be cryptic and frustrating, but at least I know I’m not paying for the privilege of being shat on by a large corporation.

For real, installing Linux nowadays is pretty painless for the most part, windows has this 27 stage process for opting out of a online account.

Like both have issues, you’re just used to the windows issues, but those are progressively getting more intrusive.

installing the easier linux distros has been easier than windows since like 2004. I never understood the “it’s hard to install” out of everything else that may be legit to complain about

the only thing I can guess is the people that say that are the people that can’t get into their bios and do not know how to reformat windows either.

We’re competing with “it’s already installed” though, not installing Windows from scratch.

Installing any OS is a huge step up for most people.

The real change comes when manufacturers start giving the choice of pre-installed OS. Some already do but they are pretty niche (e.g. Steam Deck).

It hit my eye as well, but I am sure there is a way to present it without being downvoted.

They get dopamine hits when their no_u.exe or no_u.dmg start-up applications run.
